The Clinton River Watershed spans 760 square miles of the metro Detroit region and is home to over 1.5 million people. In this course, students will learn about the geographic history of our drainage basin, the changes seen in water quality over the last 60 years, how watershed residents impact their local water resources and more. This course will also dive into some of the many partners and organizations that manage water resources in our region, empowering students to take part in local decision-making in their day-to-day lives.
About the Presenter: Kaleigh Snoddy is the director of education and stewardship at the Clinton River Watershed Council. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science with a Specialization in Resource Management and Sustainability and a minor in biology from Oakland University. Her expertise is in public education and outreach surrounding stormwater pollution and local water quality.
